Wet Season Licks
- Wet Season Licks, are commonly formulated to contain high phosphorus levels and are fed to livestock in phosphorus deficient country.
- The most effective time for cattle and sheep to utilise phosphorus is during the wet season when pastures are green. This is the time when animals are able to effectively restore and build up their phosphorus reserves in their bones.
- Supplementing with phosphorus is very important in both marginally deficient, deficient and acutely deficient country types to ensure good conception rates, weight gain and lactation in livestock.
